Flooding in the Mahakali River damaged a pillar of the suspension bridge linking Dodhara Chandani and Bhimdatta Municipality in Kanchanpur on Wednesday morning. Part of the bridge fell into the river, halting movement across the crossing.

Technical team assesses bridge damage
A technical team from the Sudurpashchim Province Transport Infrastructure Directorate began an on-site study of the damage. Engineer Prakash Bam is among the team members assessing the bridge.
