Madhesh Province Police will deploy 7,229 personnel across all eight districts to provide security during Dashain, Tihar and Chhath. The deployment will run from Asoj 29 to Kartik 30 under a festival security plan prepared by the provincial police office in Janakpur.
Dhanusa will receive the largest deployment, with 1,599 police personnel assigned to the district. Rote ping, or Ferris wheels, have been banned there, and 28 help desks will operate at border checkpoints.
Police spokesperson SSP Prabhu Prasad Dhakal shared details of the security plan.
