Lumbini Province Chief Minister Chetnarayan Acharya has said the provincial government is committed to addressing demands raised by Dalit girls, including those related to education, health, security, equality and leadership development.
Acharya made the commitment in Butwal on October 8, 2026, in response to a 10-point charter prepared by Dalit girls with facilitation from the Dalit Women’s Association Dang.
Demands outlined in a 10-point charter
The charter brings together the girls’ demands across several areas, including:
- Education and health
- Security and equality
- Leadership development
Acharya said the provincial government was committed to addressing the issues raised in the charter.
