Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam has said legal stability is necessary to create an investment-friendly and development-oriented environment in Nepal.
Speaking on Friday at a workshop in Kathmandu, Gautam said investors should be confident that agreements will be implemented even if the government changes. The workshop, titled “Legal Reforms for Investment and Development,” was held in connection with the Nepal Infrastructure Conference 2026 and organized by the Ministry of Infrastructure Development.

Gautam stressed that continuity in implementing agreements is important for investors. Her remarks focused on the need for a stable legal environment to support investment and development in the country.
