Authorities have banned trailers and other large cargo vehicles from the Narayanghat-Kathmandu road section during the Dashain festival, aiming to ease travel for passenger vehicles expected to face heavy traffic.
The restriction will remain in effect from Ghatasthapana to Purnima. The decision was made at a stakeholder meeting held Tuesday at the Department of Transport Management.
Dashain traffic management
The restriction is intended to help passenger vehicles move more easily during the festival period, when traffic on the route is expected to be heavy. It applies to trailers and other large cargo vehicles on the Narayanghat-Kathmandu road section.
