A family in Jalewshwar, Bani Municipality-8, Myagdi district, has been sleeping at the Galeshwor temple dharamshala for the past eight days after a landslide buried their home. With their house destroyed and nowhere else to go, the dharamshala has become their temporary shelter.
The family of Indra Baruwal was affected by the landslide near Bani Bazaar. The slope had been cut during road expansion work about a year and a half ago, and the cutting worsened the landslide, according to the reports.
Family left without a home
The Baruwal family has been staying at the temple dharamshala since the landslide. Their house was buried, leaving them without a place to return to.
The incident has left the family relying on the dharamshala for shelter while they face the loss of their home.
