Kishor Singh Rathore has announced his candidacy for the post of Nepali Congress president, saying he will contest on an agenda of uniting the party.
He made the announcement at a press conference in the capital on Tuesday. Rathore also alleged that a conspiracy was hatched to stop his bid after he began preparing to run.
Rathore alleges attempts to block representatives
Rathore claimed that attempts were made to prevent his representatives from proceeding, despite there being no dispute over his party membership in Bardiya.
He said his candidacy would focus on bringing the party together.
