Construction of the Kamala River bridge linking Dhanusha and Siraha districts has reached its final stage, and authorities are accelerating work to bring it into operation from the coming Mangsir month.
The bridge is part of the Hulaki Highway. The Hulaki Highway Directorate Project Office in Janakpurdham said construction is progressing toward the planned opening.
Final construction work underway
Office chief Krishna Kumar Mahato said work to raise the bridge’s pillar number 10 has been completed. Work on the superstructure slab is now underway.
The project office said construction has been accelerated as the bridge moves toward completion.
