The Judicial Council has recommended four high court judges for appointment to the Supreme Court following a meeting on Tuesday, according to Judicial Council spokesperson Rampyari Sunuwar.
The recommended judges are Dr Ratna Bahadur Bagchand, chief judge of the High Court in Pokhara; Chandra Bahadur Shahi of High Court Patan; Janak Pandey of the Hetauda Bench of High Court Patan; and Gokarna Dangi of the Temporary Bench in Birgunj.

Sunuwar said three of the four recommended judges are chief judges of high courts.
