Jhalanath Khanal has left the Nepal Communist Party (Nekpa) and announced the launch of a new political initiative, the Socialist Awakening Campaign.
Khanal made the announcement at a press conference in Kathmandu on Monday. A gathering led by him was held on Saturday, where participants decided to launch the campaign.
