Indra Bahadur Baniya has said the Nepali Congress’s 15th General Convention will give new direction to the country’s politics and help unite three generations within the party.
Speaking at the convention’s opening session, Baniya, the Chief Minister of Bagmati Province and president of the Nepali Congress’s Bagmati Province committee, said Nepal could change only if the Congress changed itself. He described unity among three generations as a necessity for the party.
Baniya calls for a stronger, united Congress
Baniya urged party members to move forward with a big heart and work to make the Nepali Congress stronger and more united. He said bringing different generations together was central to the party’s future and the country’s political direction.
His remarks placed party reform and intergenerational unity at the heart of the convention’s opening session.
