Home Minister Sudhan Gurung visited the Budhanilkantha residence of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) chair Rabi Lamichhane on Sunday for a meeting, according to reports. An aide in the minister’s secretariat said the two leaders discussed current political issues, while RSP sources said their talks were ongoing.
The meeting is the first between Lamichhane and Gurung since the Home Ministry became embroiled in controversy over the case involving former chief justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana. The Rana case is widely speculated to have been the main subject of their discussion, although no details of the talks have been confirmed.
