Government to Distribute Rs 1.505 Billion in Subsidies to Sugarcane Farmers

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forests and Environment is set to distribute Rs 1.505 billion in subsidies to sugarcane farmers for fiscal year 2083/84. The funding is intended to support farmers in districts including Bardiya, Rautahat, Kailali and Kanchanpur.

The subsidy programme aims to encourage sugarcane cultivation, increase agricultural productivity and ensure support reaches the targeted farmers. The working procedure for distributing the subsidy has already been approved.

Sugarcane subsidy programme

The released amount exceeds Rs 1.5 billion and is earmarked for sugarcane farmers in the current fiscal year. The programme is intended to provide financial support to eligible farmers and promote sugarcane production.
