The government is preparing to distribute identity cards to farmers included in the farmer registration list, with the process expected to begin soon from Kathmandu.
Cards will be issued in municipalities where farmer registration has been completed, according to Dr Sanjiv Pandit, an official at the Agriculture Communication and Human Resource Development Centre.

The cards are intended to help registered farmers access necessary services and support. Distribution will initially cover areas where the registration work is complete.
The government has not specified a date for the start of distribution.
