The government has recovered about Rs 110 million from borrowers who failed to repay loans owed to various cooperative institutions on time. The recovery was made through settlements and enforcement of decisions in 27 cases, according to the Loan Recovery Tribunal office.
The amount had been recovered by Ashoj 15 of the current fiscal year. The office chief said the campaign to recover outstanding cooperative loans has been intensified.
Recovery through settlements and enforcement
The tribunal office has pursued borrowers who defaulted on repayment of loan principal and interest. Its recovery efforts have included settlements as well as enforcement of decisions in the cases handled by the office.
By Ashoj 15, those efforts had resulted in about Rs 110 million in recoveries across 27 cases.
