Federal and provincial government offices can now pay their electricity and water bills through digital means following the integration of government financial and utility billing systems.
The Office of the Auditor General's Integrated Public Financial Management Service (IPFMS) has been linked with the Nepal Electricity Authority's Corporate Consumer Payment System (CCPS) and the Nepal Water Supply Corporation's Consumer Billing Management Service (CBMS). The interconnection was launched on Wednesday.
Digital bill payment for government offices
The integration connects the government's financial management system with the billing systems of the two utility providers. It enables all federal and provincial government offices to pay their electricity and water bills digitally through the linked services.
