Agriculture, Forest and Environment Minister Geeta Chaudhary on Thursday approved procedures to provide Rs 1.5005 billion in grant assistance to sugarcane-producing farmers in the current fiscal year 2083/84.
The grant is intended to incentivize sugarcane producers. Farmers in various districts, including Bardiya, Rautahat, Kailali and Kanchanpur, are set to receive assistance under the allocation.
Grant for sugarcane producers
The approved allocation totals Rs 1.5005 billion for the fiscal year. The procedures provide the basis for distributing the grant among sugarcane farmers in the listed and other districts.
