Geologists Begin Field Study of Landslide Areas in Myagdi

A team of geologists has begun an on-site study of landslide-affected areas in Myagdi district, focusing on sites that pose a risk to Beni Bazaar. The technical study is coordinated by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority.

Led by Nepal Geological Society President Bhaskar Khatiwada, the team visited landslide-prone areas above Khareni Kholsa, Khoriya Pakho and Campus Chowk. Beni Municipality Mayor Surat KC shared information about the study.

Samples to be analysed

The team will analyse samples collected during the field visit and prepare a technical report for submission to the government. The study is intended to provide technical findings on the landslide-affected sites near Beni Bazaar.
