Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has proposed a constitutional limit allowing an individual to serve no more than two terms as prime minister. The proposal was included in a political report he presented at the party’s 15th general convention.
The report also calls for a “none of the above” option on ballots, voting rights for Nepalis living abroad and a more participatory and transparent electoral system. Thapa said corruption would not be protected.
