The alternative road used after the Furkhekhola bridge on the Prithvi Highway was washed away will be closed for five hours today for maintenance, the District Administration Office, Dhading, said.
All vehicles will be barred from the Parewatar–Piplatar–Adamatar–Belintar–Mastar road section from 10 am to 3 pm. Chief District Officer Lakshmi Pandey said repairs are needed at various points along the alternative route.
Alternative route closure in Dhading
The route was opened for traffic after the concrete bridge at Furkhekhola, in Gajuri Rural Municipality-2, was swept away by flooding in the Bhote Koshi on Bhadra 10.
The five-hour closure is intended to allow maintenance work along the road used as an alternative connection on the Prithvi Highway.
