Four local representatives elected from the Nepal Communist Party (UML) have lost their positions after leaving the party, with the Election Commission declaring their elected posts vacant.
The Commission made the decision on Ashoj 22, acting on a recommendation from the UML central secretariat. The representatives were elected in Bhojpur and Kapilvastu during the 2079 BS local elections.
Election Commission declares positions vacant
The Commission said the four elected positions became automatically vacant following the representatives' departure from the UML. The decision applies to representatives from the two districts, Bhojpur and Kapilvastu.
The vacancies were announced after the UML central secretariat recommended action to the Election Commission.
