The Patan High Court has ordered former Prabhu Bank chief executive officer Ashok Sherchan to be detained for trial in several cases against him.
A joint bench of judges Ganesh Prasad Baral and Rajukumar Khatiwada issued the order during a hearing on Tuesday involving all four cases against Sherchan. The court required him to post Rs 15 million in bail in one case and ordered his detention in the others.
Court orders detention in three cases
The courtās decision means Sherchan will remain in custody for trial in the cases where detention was ordered. In the remaining case, he can secure release by meeting the Rs 15 million bail requirement.
