Political parties and leaders from several countries have sent congratulatory messages for the Nepali Congress’s 15th general convention, which began on Sunday at Khulamanch in Kathmandu. The greetings were addressed to party president Gagan Kumar Thapa and emphasized continuing and expanding long-standing political ties.
International greetings
Written messages came from political figures and organizations in India, China, Bangladesh and other countries. Among those extending congratulations were BJP president Nitin Nabin, Indian National Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, the Chinese Communist Party, and Socialist International president and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.

- Nitin Nabin and Mallikarjun Kharge sent greetings from India’s BJP and Indian National Congress, respectively.
- The Chinese Communist Party also sent a message.
- Pedro Sanchez, in his role as Socialist International president, extended congratulations.
