A fire broke out at a scrap warehouse in Kapali Tole, Suryabinayak Municipality-8, Bhaktapur, at around 6:30 am on Monday, causing an estimated Rs 5 million in damage.
The warehouse, operated by Nawaraj Bhatta, was damaged in the blaze. Police said there were no reports of human casualties.
Suspected cause of the fire
DSP Dipak Karki of the District Police Range Bhaktapur said the fire may have started after an electrical wire short-circuited. Fire engines from Bhaktapur Municipality and other locations were used to bring the blaze under control.
