District security bodies in Mahottari, Kailali and Banke have put festival security measures into effect ahead of Dashain, Tihar and Chhath.
The plans are intended to strengthen security during the festival period. In Banke, police have deployed more than 1,000 personnel under a special festival security plan.
Security measures in three districts
- Mahottari: The District Security Committee has brought the Integrated Festival Security Plan 2083 into full implementation.
- Kailali: The District Police Office began enforcing its festival security plan from Tuesday.
- Banke: Police deployed more than 1,000 personnel under a special plan to tighten security across the district.
The measures form part of festival preparations as people across the districts get ready to observe Dashain, Tihar and Chhath.
