Nepal’s Election Commission held a consultation on Friday with political parties represented at all three levels of government to discuss election and political party management. Twenty-four political parties were invited to the discussion.
The talks covered ways to increase voter participation and reduce invalid votes, as well as measures to make the voter roll accurate and up to date. Participants also discussed arranging voting for Nepalis abroad and for voters across districts.

The Commission said cooperation and coordination with political parties are needed to make the election process more effective, credible and people-friendly.
