Dragon Fruit Worth Rs 2.7 Million Stuck on Blocked Beni-Jomsom Road Given Away Free

A consignment of dragon fruit worth about Rs 2.7 million, purchased in China and bound for Kathmandu, has been stranded in Jomsom for more than 15 days after floods and landslides blocked the Beni-Jomsom road section. Unable to transport the fruit, the trader distributed one container free of charge to local residents.

The road was obstructed following heavy rainfall from Asoj 8 to 11. The blockage prevented the shipment from continuing its journey to Kathmandu.
