Dr. Santosh Upadhyay, a physician from Achham and youth leader of the Nepali Congress, has announced his candidacy for the post of General Secretary at the party’s 15th General Convention.
Upadhyay was elected as a convention delegate from Achham Constituency No. 2. He said the convention should be more than an exercise in selecting party leaders and should also deliver a message of political change.
Upadhyay calls for party renewal
Upadhyay said the Nepali Congress needs to restore the momentum it has lost and ensure greater participation by a new generation. He framed the convention as an opportunity to address those priorities alongside choosing the party’s leadership.
