Nepali Congress leader Dila Sangrauli has announced her candidacy for the party's women general secretary position at its 15th general convention in Kathmandu. She made the declaration to journalists at the convention venue shortly after the party's central committee decided to increase the number of general secretaries to three, with one position reserved for a woman.
Sangrauli was elected deputy general secretary at the party's 14th general convention from the panel of former party president Sher Bahadur Deuba.
A reserved position for a woman
