Nepali Congress leader Deepak Giri has announced his candidacy for the post of vice-president at the party’s 15th general convention.
Giri, a former minister and former central member from Dang, made the announcement on Sunday through a post on Facebook. He said he wants to give the party new momentum by combining the guidance of experienced leaders with the energy and participation of young people.

Giri said his candidacy is based on bringing together experience and youth participation to strengthen the Nepali Congress. He has served as a minister and as a central member of the party.
