Advance booking for public transport tickets for Dashain, Tihar and Chhath will open on October 9, the Department of Transport Management has announced.
The decision was made at a high-level meeting at the department in Kathmandu on Tuesday, attended by representatives of relevant agencies and transport operators. Two drivers will be mandatory on long-distance routes.
Festival travel preparations
Authorities and transport operators are preparing to manage vehicles and passenger services and coordinate with transport operators and security agencies to support safe and orderly travel during the festival period.
The booking announcement covers public transport services for Dashain, Tihar and Chhath.
