Nepal Communist Party (NCP) coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal, known as Prachanda, has called for political cooperation with the UML to be extended from provincial governments to local elections.
Speaking at a unity meeting and oath-taking ceremony in Dhulikhel on Saturday, Dahal said the partnership should not be limited to running provincial governments. He urged the parties to strengthen their cooperation politically and ideologically, and to carry it through parliamentary debates and elections.

Dahal said the collaboration should be consolidated in parliament and continued through the electoral process. His remarks called for the partnership to grow beyond its role in provincial government, extending to local elections as well.
