CIAA Files Corruption Case Against Survey Officer Dilli Bahadur Wali

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case at the Special Court in Kathmandu against survey officer Dilli Bahadur Wali, accusing him of demanding and taking a Rs 1 million bribe.

Wali works at Survey Team No. 3, Machhapokhari, under the Kathmandu Survey Office in Dillibazar. The case was filed on Thursday, according to reports.

What the CIAA alleges

The CIAA alleges that Wali took the money to forward a file, including a recommendation for the registration of exempt land, to the Land Administration Office in Manamaiju, Kathmandu.

The commission said the process caused unnecessary hardship and harassment to the service seeker. The allegations will be considered by the court as the case proceeds.
