China Yet to Approve Reopening of Tatopani Border, Minister Lamsal Says

Nepal is ready to operate the Tatopani border crossing, but China has not yet approved its reopening, Infrastructure Development Minister Sunil Lamsal said.

Speaking at a meeting of the Parliamentary Special Committee on Climate Change Impacts in the Himalayas, Climate Justice and Bhotekoshi-Trishuli Disaster in Singhadurbar, Lamsal said the government was in continuous dialogue with China about reopening the checkpoint.

Nepal awaits China's decision on Tatopani crossing

Lamsal said Nepal was prepared to resume operations at the crossing and that the government was waiting for China to make a decision. He did not indicate when the border point might reopen.
