Nepal’s Cabinet has recommended that President Ramchandra Paudel issue three ordinances amending various laws related to land, forests and disaster management. The decision was made at a Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday afternoon at Singha Durbar.
Government spokesperson and Education Minister Sasmit Pokharel said the ordinances would be sent to the President for issuance. The meeting also approved compensation for 153 victims recommended by the National Human Rights Commission.
