The government has promoted Achyut Mani Neupane, a joint attorney in the Nepal Judicial Service, to the gazetted special class and appointed him secretary of the Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons.
Minister for Communication and Information Technology Dr. Bikram Timsina announced the decision after a Cabinet meeting held in Kathmandu on Friday. The Cabinet also approved three other decisions at the meeting.
Neupane appointed commission secretary
Neupane’s promotion places him in the gazetted special class, and he will serve as secretary of the Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons. No further details about the other Cabinet decisions were provided in the announcement.
