The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) office at Tribhuvan International Airport warned the public on Sunday against flying kites, drones and balloons near the airport and its flight paths, saying the activities could pose serious risks to flight safety.
The warning comes as kite-flying activity around the airport area has increased significantly during the Dashain festival. CAAN said such activities are prohibited by law.
