The BP Highway has reopened after a mudslide caused by continuous overnight rain blocked traffic on the road. Vehicles and passengers that had been stranded were able to continue their journeys after the mud piled on the highway was cleared.
According to the Department of Roads, the mudslide occurred between Narke and Pinthali, about three kilometres from Mangaltar toward Bhakunde, on a section of the highway under construction.
Traffic resumed after the obstruction was removed.
