Gandaki Provincial Assembly member Bindu Kumar Thapa and his son, Saugat Thapa, have both been elected delegates to the Nepali Congress’s 15th general convention.
The two are the only father and son from the same family to secure delegate positions, according to the reports.
Father and son elected from different categories
Saugat Thapa contested as a central convention delegate from the youth group for members under 35. His father, Bindu Kumar Thapa, ran in the open category.
Bindu Kumar Thapa represents Kaski-2 in the Gandaki Provincial Assembly.
