Former president Bidya Devi Bhandari took the oath of office as a senior leader of the CPN-UML before party chair KP Sharma Oli during the party’s Standing Committee meeting in Kathmandu on Thursday.
The CPN-UML Central Committee recently nominated Bhandari as the party’s senior vice-chair. She attended a Standing Committee meeting for the first time since her appointment to the party’s senior leadership.

Bhandari’s oath-taking took place during the Standing Committee meeting, marking her first attendance at the committee since joining the party’s senior leadership. Oli administered the oath.
