Nirmala Sherpa, deputy mayor of Bhojpur Municipality, has resigned after being expelled from the CPN-UML. She said she stepped down on ethical grounds after the party removed her and did not allow her to remain an ordinary member.
Nabin Pradhan, the CPN-UML-elected ward chairperson of Bhojpur Municipality-8, has also resigned from his position after the party disciplined him for acting against its interests.
Resignations in Bhojpur
Sherpa’s resignation follows her expulsion from the party. Pradhan’s departure comes after disciplinary action by the CPN-UML. Both resignations were reported from Bhojpur.
