Alternative Road Under Construction to Bypass Krishnabhir Landslide

Work is underway to build an alternative road around the landslide-prone Krishnabhir section of the Prithvi Highway, on the Muglin-Kathmandu route. The road is intended to ease difficulties for travellers when landslides block the highway.

The planned alternative will connect Fisling in Chitwan to Benighat in Dhading. It will use a new track opened from the Gorkha side and upgrade the short road running from Pallotar through Siurenitar to Benighat.

Alternative route around Krishnabhir

Krishnabhir is a landslide-prone area along the Prithvi Highway. When the highway is blocked there, travellers face hardship. The new route is being built to provide a way around the affected section.
