The Cabinet has promoted Deputy Attorney General Achutmani Neupane to the gazetted special class and appointed him Secretary of the Commission of Inquiry on Enforced Disappeared Persons.
Minister for Communication and Information Technology Dr. Bikram Timilsina announced the decision following a Cabinet meeting in Kathmandu.
Judicial Council had recommended the appointment
The promotion and posting had earlier been recommended by the Judicial Council, which is chaired by Chief Justice Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma. Neupane is from the Nepal Judicial Service, Government Attorney Group.
