The Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) collected Rs 677,590,986 in tourist entry fees during fiscal year 2082/083, earning nearly Rs 680 million from visitors to the conservation area.
Project chief Dr Rabin Kadariya said the increase in revenue was driven by a record number of foreign tourists entering the area during the year. Visitors from three South Asian countries were also among those who came to the region, according to the project.
Record foreign tourist numbers boost ACAP revenue
The entry-fee collection reflects the number of tourists who visited the Annapurna Conservation Area during the fiscal year. ACAP attributed the rise in income to the record influx of foreign visitors.
