A total of 186 landless families in Bateshwar Rural Municipality, Dhanusha, have received land ownership certificates, formally granting them legal ownership of the land they have long occupied.
The certificates were issued to families in wards 3 and 4, covering the former Bateshwar Village Development Committee wards 1 to 9. The District Survey Office, Dhanusha, completed the distribution after legal and administrative procedures delayed it for about nine years.
Certificates issued after nine-year delay
The land survey was completed around nine years ago, but the certificates were not distributed because the required legal and administrative processes had not been completed. With the documents now issued, the families have received formal proof of land ownership.
The distribution applies to the 186 landless families identified in the surveyed areas of Bateshwar.
