How does Patrukar decide what to publish?

We follow coverage breadth and freshness. A story carried widely and reported recently rises to the top, while a thin or stale item stays out of the way. Every article links back to the original publishers so readers can judge the sourcing for themselves.

How do corrections work?

If we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and say so. Corrections are noted on the article with the date and what changed. Readers can flag an error through the contact page, and the desk reviews every report before it is published.

Patrukar is run by a small editorial desk of writers and editors based in Nepal. Our reporters cover parliament, the districts, the climate and the economy. Bios and beats are published on each author page so readers know who is behind every story.

Is Patrukar automated?

Part of the desk is. New stories are gathered from a public feed of Nepali headlines, summarised, and reviewed against our publishing standards. Editors still set the tone, verify the sensitive calls, and can unpublish anything at any time, and a human always signs off.
