The United Nations has released $160 million from its emergency fund to support people affected by severe humanitarian crises in 12 countries and regions. The funds were disbursed on Friday, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
The allocation is intended to deliver life-saving humanitarian assistance to people facing the impact of the crises. OCHA said the funding would support response efforts across the affected countries and regions.
