US President Donald Trump has announced the creation of a new artificial intelligence task force called the Super Intelligence Force. Trump posted the announcement on Sunday, saying the body would help ensure the United States continues to lead in AI development.
According to BBC, Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton will lead the task force. It will also coordinate the government's engagement with the public on artificial intelligence.
What the Super Intelligence Force will do
Trump said the task force will focus on two priorities:
- Supporting continued US leadership in the development of artificial intelligence.
- Coordinating the government's engagement with the public on AI.
