Speakers at an event in Bhairahawa, Rupandehi, called for Nepal-China relations to grow beyond their historical foundations and strengthen at the people's level. They also stressed expanding cooperation and mutual understanding between the two countries.
The programme was organised by the Nepal-China Friendship Society, Lumbini, on Thursday to mark the 77th Chinese National Day. It took place at the Pugata Bhumi Jetavana site in Bhairahawa.
Emphasis on people-to-people ties
Participants highlighted the importance of deepening people-to-people connections between Nepal and China as part of strengthening the relationship between the neighbouring countries.
