Dr. Shashank Koirala has said that staying firm in one’s beliefs is the main foundation of politics, adding that people who stand for the truth must be prepared to pay a price.
Speaking at the inauguration of a regional convention in Kathmandu Constituency No. 4 on Saturday, Koirala said politics should focus on serving the people rather than sharing power. He also said those who misuse power should not enter politics.
Koirala calls for principle-based politics
Koirala is the coordinator of the 15th General Convention Organizing Committee formed by the Deuba faction of the Nepali Congress. At the convention’s inauguration, he stressed the importance of remaining committed to one’s beliefs and serving the public.
